Mining

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako is well positioned to support the expanding mining sector. The region has a well-developed transportation system, including access via Highway 16 to a deep water port at Prince Rupert and the bulk terminal in Stewart.

The region is served by the Canadian National Railway line, providing links to terminal points across North America. Energy costs, a well-trained and experienced labour force, and untapped mineral resources make this region attractive for the mining sector.
