Trades Training BC
Trades Training BC is a consortium of 15 public post-secondary educational institutions created to promote trades training in British Columbia. Look to their website for information on current Apprenticeship and Foundation Training opportunities.
Industry Training Authority (ITA)
ITA manages over one-hundred trades programs in BC, forty-nine of which are Red Seal.
Discover Skills BC
Discover Skills BC is an initiative funded by the BC Government to provide access for secondary students, their teachers and parents to the many educational opportunities available to them in trades and technology training.

Futurpreneur Canada
National, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. Our internationally recognized mentoring program hand matches young entrepreneurs with a business expert from a network of more than 2,800 volunteer mentors.
Government of Canada

ECO Canada
Gives eligible employers who work in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) or natural resources up to 50% of an intern’s salary (up to $15,000) for new full-time environmental jobs.

First Nations
Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association
PGNAETA delivers programs and courses through their Essential Skills programs. Examples include Finance Industry, Railway to Success and the Trades Access Program.
Burns Lake Band
Burns Lake Band encourages individuals to continue on their education paths and will take steps to assist the individual to ensure a successful journey. The Burns Lake Band will sponsor students in Post-Secondary education goals on an individual basis.

The 5×5 Centre of Employment provides a variety of employment-related supports including career counselling, help writing cover letters, help creating resumes, practice for interviews, computer access, and funding opportunities.
BC Provincial Government -Aboriginal Youth Internship Program
This program provides a 12-month paid internship for up to 25 young Aboriginal British Columbians, ages 19 to 29.
Northern Development Initiative Trust -First Nations Government Internship
In partnership with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada and the University of Northern British Columbia this internship allows rural, indigenous communities to recruit and retain talented young professionals in the north.
